Wright is currently working on Proxi, a groundbreaking game slated to come out next year which will enable people to play in scenes rendered from their own memories.

Frank Gehry was born in 1929, in Ontario, Canada, where he lived until immigrating to Los Angeles, California, USA, in 1947. Frank graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the
University of Southern California in 1954. From 1969 to 1973, he designed a furniture line called
Easy Edges. The curved, swooping forms of his chairs, all constructed from corrugated cardboard,
foreshadow the movement he wanted to express in future designs, like the Walt Disney Concert
Hall in Los Angeles and the Dancing House in Prague. An accomplished architect and designer,
Frank has won many awards, chief among them the Pritzker Architecture Prize (often referred to
as the Nobel Prize of architecture) in 1989 and the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom (the nation’s highest civilian honor) by Barack Obama in 2016.

Growing Up

Born in Ontario, Canada, in 1954, James was fascinated by science fiction books and movies from a young age.

He moved to the United States at 17 and initially studied physics at Fullerton Junior College, now Fullerton College, before switching to English and eventually dropping out. A trip to the theater to see George Lucas’s Star Wars reignited his interest in filmmaking; the cinematic experience was so moving that he drove a truck to support his fledgling screenwriting career and spent time studying books on visual effects (VFX) at the library.

Marc Jacobs is an American fashion designer from New York City. After graduating from the High School of Art and Design in 1981, Marc entered Parsons School of Design, where he stood out among his classmates by winning both the Perry Ellis Gold Thimble Award and Design Student of the Year in 1984. In 1997, Marc was appointed creative director of luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton, where he created the company’s first ready-to-wear clothing line. He is now the head designer for his own eponymous fashion label, Marc Jacobs. Marc is a five-time recipient of the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s Womenswear Designer of the Year Award.

Steve Martin was born in 1945 and raised in Inglewood, California. An imaginative youth, Steve nurtured a love for performing at an early age and became a talented musician and magician in college before turning his focus to comedy. He began writing for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour while in college, and in 1969 won an Emmy Award for his work on the show.

Steve cultivated a small but dedicated fanbase in the 1970s for his stand-up routines, but it wasn’t until his 1976 appearance hosting Saturday Night Live that he became a renown comedian. Following his breakthrough, Steve transitioned from stand-up to acting and cemented a reputation as a blockbuster movie star with films like The Jerk (1979) and All of Me (1984). To date, he has acted in over 45 films and written 11. 

As founders of fashion line MONSE and creative directors at Oscar de la Renta, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia have transcended their industry with a partnership that’s more than the sum of its parts.

The pair, who are best friends, met while working at Oscar de la Renta on the label’s design team. They immediately bonded under the mentorship of Oscar and began to form their distinctive vision and point of view. Later in their careers they returned to Oscar de la Renta as creative directors, and in 2016 they launched their own fashion label, MONSE.
